"The entire legislative framework regulating the equivalence of driver's licenses in our country has now been completed. As can be seen from the experience of other European countries, facilitating citizens' access to an affordable, efficient and safe means of transport in order to ensure the improvement of urban mobility and road safety".

As a result of all the legislative regulations and with the issuance of ministerial decision Δ30/A3/113358 (Government Gazette 1845/B), the following apply.

 

45km/h category 

According to the current legislation, in order to drive electric two-wheelers (mopeds) manufactured with a maximum speed of 45 Km/h, it is sufficient to meet at least one of the following conditions:

- be a holder of a moped driver's license or a holder of a larger motorcycle's driver's license.

- be a holder of a car driving license for at least 6 years

 

25km/h category 

According to current legislation, to drive electric two-wheelers (mopeds) manufactured with a maximum speed of 25 Km/h, no driver's license is required as long as you are over 15 years old.

 

125 cm3 category, maximum power 11 kW

According to current legislation, to drive electric two-wheelers in the 125 cm3 category, with a maximum power of 11 kW, it is enough to meet at least one of the following conditions.

-be the holder of a driving license for a 125 cm3 category A1 motorcycle, with a maximum power of 11 kW or the holder of a driving license for a larger motorcycle.

- have held a driving license for more than 6 years, have reached the age of 27 and have attended 5 practical training courses. In this case and upon presentation of the relevant supporting documents, a new driver's license form is issued with the addition of the code "121" in category B.

-be the holder of a car driver's license (B) for more than 4 years, the holder of a moped driver's license for more than 4 years and have reached the age of 27. (it is not necessary to issue a new driving license form).
