It may be ridden with an AM driving licence and, subject to the applicable legal conditions, with a Category B car licence — only in its approved 45 km/h configuration.

The approved 45 km/h version of the EFUN E2GO falls under the L1e-B moped category, as this specific Certificate of Conformity confirms a maximum factory-set speed of up to 45 km/h and a maximum continuous rated power of up to 4 kW. An earlier type plate for this model lists L1e-B, 3 kW, and 45 km/h.

To operate this specific version, the following driver’s licenses are sufficient:

Class AM, which can be obtained starting at age 16.
Class A1, A2, or A, as a higher-class motorcycle license.
Class B, provided the driver is at least 27 years old and has held a Class B license for more than 6 years. For the equivalence of Class B to AM, adding code 121 or issuing a new license is not required.
The 60 km/h speed limit mentioned by some dealers is not covered by the L1e-B moped category. If there is a separate, approved version with a maximum factory-set speed exceeding 45 km/h, the type-approval category and the required license change. If classified as L3e-A1, an A1 license or higher is required, or a B license with national code 121, for which more than 6 years of holding a B license, a minimum age of 27, and 5 practical training sessions are required. Code 121 is valid only within Greece.

For final registration, the type approval category, the maximum continuous rated power, and the maximum factory-specified speed must be verified in the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for the actual vehicle.
