Current legislation

To ride the E-RIDE VSP PLUS at 45 km/h, you need a license. Because it has a top speed of 45 km/h, the law classifies it as a moped (50cc). This means you can ride it either with a moped license (Class AM) starting at age 16, or with your car driver’s license, provided you are at least 27 years old and have held it for at least 6 years. Finally, since it is registered with standard license plates, you are required to have it insured and to always wear your helmet on the road.
